Terms of Service for Prediction Hunt's API.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing, accessing, or using the Prediction Hunt API (“the API”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the API.
2. Disclaimer of Warranties (“As-Is” Clause)
The API and all associated data are provided on an “AS-IS” and “AS-AVAILABLE” basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Prediction Hunt disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the API will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or that the data provided will be perfectly accurate or up-to-date at all times.
3. No Financial or Investment Advice
All data, odds, market trends, and event outcomes provided through the API are for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing provided via the API constitutes financial, investment, legal, or trading advice. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for any trades, investments, or business decisions you make based on data retrieved from the API. Prediction Hunt assumes no liability for any financial losses or damages incurred by you or your end-users.
4. Data Accuracy and Imperfect Matching
The API aggregates and standardizes data, event contracts, odds, and market resolutions from various third-party platforms and exchanges. Because this data is sourced externally and programmatically matched, matches, groupings, and standardized schemas are provided on a best-effort basis and are not guaranteed to be 100% accurate, complete, or perfectly aligned. Discrepancies in naming conventions, delayed event resolutions, or false-positive entity matches may occur. Prediction Hunt is not responsible for any logic failures, trading errors, or downstream issues caused by mismatched or inaccurate data returned by the API.
5. Acceptable Use and Rate Limiting
You agree to use the API only for lawful purposes. You shall not:
- Use the API to build a directly competing product or service.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or bypass the API's intended functionality.
- Exceed the designated rate limits associated with your purchased tier.
- Use the data for illegal gambling, market manipulation, or any unlawful activity.
6. Immediate Revocation and Termination
Prediction Hunt reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or completely revoke API access and invalidate your API keys at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason. This includes, but is not limited to: violation of these Terms, suspected fraudulent activity, unauthorized sharing of API keys, or excessive server usage that degrades the service for other users. In the event of termination for a Terms violation, no refunds will be provided.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Prediction Hunt, its founders, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages (including, without limitation, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption) arising out of or in connection with your use of the API. In all cases, Prediction Hunt's maximum aggregate liability to you for any claims arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you paid to Prediction Hunt for API access in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Prediction Hunt and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or legal fees arising out of your use of the API, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
9. Modifications to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the API following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
