Terms of Service for Prediction Hunt's API.
Last Updated: April 9, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Prediction Hunt API, including all data, matching engines, algorithmic signals, and software development kits (collectively, the “API”). By accessing the API or purchasing a subscription tier, you agree to these Terms.
By using the API, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using the API on behalf of a business entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
Usage Limits: Your access is governed by the rate limits and monthly request quotas of your selected tier (Free, Dev, Pro, or Enterprise).
Anti-Circumvention: You are strictly prohibited from creating multiple accounts or using “Sybil” tactics to bypass the limits of the “Free” tier. Prediction Hunt reserves the right to aggregate and terminate all accounts suspected of being controlled by the same user or entity.
Payment and Downgrades: Failure to maintain a valid payment method for paid tiers may result in immediate downgrade to the Free tier or suspension of API keys. Prediction Hunt is not liable for any service interruptions to your applications resulting from such downgrades.
Entity Resolution (Matching): The API provides a cross-platform matching service that maps markets from different exchanges (e.g., Kalshi, Polymarket, PredictIt) to a single event. This resolution is performed algorithmically and is provided on a “Best-Effort” basis.
Resolution Rules: Different platforms may have different “Resolution Criteria” for the same event. It is your sole responsibility to verify the specific rules and resolution dates on the source platforms before executing trades. Prediction Hunt is not liable for financial losses caused by incorrect entity matching or differing platform rules.
Informational Purpose: All data, including Arbitrage (Arb) and Expected Value (EV) signals, are for informational and educational purposes only.
Signal Risks: Arb and EV signals are generated by automated models. These models may not account for order book depth (liquidity), trading fees, exchange-side slippage, or data latency. A “positive” signal does not guarantee a profitable outcome.
Self-Directed Trading: You acknowledge that you are a self-directed investor. Prediction Hunt does not provide investment, tax, or legal advice.
If you utilize the Prediction Hunt Trading SDK or execution-related endpoints:
Not a Broker-Dealer: Prediction Hunt is a technical service provider, not a broker, exchange, or financial intermediary. All trades are executed directly on the third-party platform (the “Execution Venue”).
Technical Failure: Prediction Hunt is not liable for failed trades, “fat-finger” errors, API latency resulting in price movements, or the failure of the Execution Venue to fill an order.
User Responsibility: You are responsible for all credentials (API keys) and all trading activity initiated via your API key.
By using this API, you agree to comply with the Terms of Service and API rules of the source platforms (e.g., Kalshi, Polymarket, ProphetX). You agree not to use the Prediction Hunt API to violate the geographic restrictions or jurisdictional prohibitions of the source exchanges.
Ownership: Prediction Hunt retains all rights, titles, and interests in the API, including the proprietary “Matching” logic and “Signal” algorithms.
Internal Use: Unless granted an Enterprise license, API data is for your internal use or for display within your end-user application only. You may not scrape or redistribute the API data to build a standalone, competing data-aggregator or historical database.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prediction Hunt, its founders, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages—including but not limited to trading losses, lost profits, or data corruption—arising from the use of the API. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid to Prediction Hunt in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms or the API specifications at any time. We will notify users of material changes via the email associated with their API key. Continued use of the API following such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
